Tuckerman Brewing Company Pale Ale
by Kevin Kosar

One of the great beers I found in my recent trip to New Hampshire and Maine was Tuckerman Brewing Company's Pale Ale.  I was drawn to the product by its almost haunting label- a shot of the beautiful Tuckerman Ravine.  I also got a kick out of what I saw on the neck of the bottle- "Brewed and bottled by Kirsten and Nik...in Conway, New Hampshire."  Talk about microbrewing!

This fair copper and slightly cloudy ale is amde from "English and Belgian specialty malts and four
different domestic whole hops. It is dry hopped and bottle conditioned."  It has a spicey, complex hop nose, a solid head, and a medium body that well balances malty sweetness with hop cripsness.  It's a very good beer and should be snatched up by the case. (Rating ****)
