11/15/2002 BELL’S FINEST OLD SCOTCH WHISKY
We’ve seen this in many bars in London but never got around to trying it. This time, though, we broke down. Seated at the gorgeous Salisbury bar just west of Covent Garden, we put a few drips in this blend and sucked it up: wow, so soft. It offers a fat note of chocolate and just a little peat that gives it a spine. Amazing value- two liters at duty free cost us 15 pounds, about $25. (Rating ***3/4)
