Kutskova Vodka
by Kevin R. Kosar

What's Kutskova? Well, beyond being the name that folks used prior to 1200 for the city of Moscow, Kutskova is a new super premium Russian vodka. Kutskova is imported by AV Imports of Columbia, Maryland (http://www.avimports.com).

So how is it? In a word: excellent. Kutskova is twice distilled and five times filtered through birch charcoal and diamond quartz sands. It's a thick vodka, one that's a pleasure to swish about your mouth. Kutskova's is very smooth and clean, but that doesn't mean it is flavorless. Au contaire, it has rich toffee and grain notes.

Give it a try- the notoriously tough spirits grader, F. Paul Pacult, gave Kutskova a big thumbs up in the December issue of his The Spirit Journal, and I too thick Kutskova is excellent. Highly recommended. (Rating ****1/2)
