| Laphroaig 30 Year
by F. Sot Fitzgerald Lucky me- I got to go hang for an evening at the fab Princeton Club in midtown Manhattan and guzzle Laproaig (pronounced, La- froyg) all night and watch the wealthy bid on an assortment of art. Truth be told- I love all three of the Laphroaigs. The 10 Year is a wild man, loaded with iodine, peat and smoke, the 15 Year is just divine, so silky and smooth. The there's Laphroaig 30 Year, a very rare version that retails from $200-$350 a bottle. Expensive- yes, but a masterful blend that is a bit bolder and more smokey than the 15 year without being heavy handed. It's quite special. |
