11/25/2002 GEORGES DUBOEUF VIOGNIER 2001 Mmmm- Viognier (that's VEE-on-yay to you, Jethro): a lovely grape. It's known for producing yummy, young white wines that taste of melon, pear, and the like. And that's what we get here, for the wonderfully low price of $9-$10. It's soft, a little floral and a little apricot-y. Quaff it or alone or pair it with chilled fruits or let it grapple with midlly spicy Thai food, pasta and olive oil, or, funny enough, chocolate chip cookies. (Rating ***1/2)
