Dear Mr. Sager,

Sorry to fax you at such a late hour (it's 2:26 A.M. by my watch, EST), and I hope this isn't your home fax number.  If it is you are likely staring at this bleary eyed in your pajamas and wondering why the hell you were awakened.  Sorry- but this just can't wait.

Let's get to it then, so you can return to bed and get some more sleep before your Monday at work begins.

This evening Zelduh and I decided to bounce into Manhattan and dine at our favorite Indian restaurant.  Of course we wanted to take a bottle of wine with us, but we were baffled at what to choose.  Indian food, as you likely know, runs the gamut in taste, from salty to sweet to horrendously spicy.  Moreover, it's been blazing hot, so we really were inclined toward a white wine.

We went round and round for the better part of a half an hour, trying to come to a decision as to what type of white would fit the bill.  Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewurzt- none seemed likely to work.  Flustered and out of desperation tinged with hope, we grabbed a bottle of Bethel Heights 1999 Pinot Blanc
