Those who have read my other reviews know that Andrew Quady's fortified wines have consistently scored well.  This late bottled vintage port is no exception. 

When I drink a port, I'm looking for something that is lush, lacking in alcohol stink, and sufficiently complex to engage my mind.  Something stiff and grapey is not at all what I am looking for. I want to be soothed and engaged, as if by a genial and thoughtful old friend.
